Affordance Delight

On a recent visit to Matsuyama (Southern Japan) I came across perhaps the best bit of tableware design I've ever seen. This sake bowl has the perfect set of affordances to enable you to grasp it with your right hand, so the more sake you drink, the less likely you are to overthink and spill when pouring some more.

It also got me thinking again about how few objects we use that are purposefully asymmetrical in form. Think there's a project in there somewhere...
